B!G conference is…

an incredible three-day event that will help your child discover God’s
Word in an exciting and unforgettable way! 
Each day, they will learn a key Bible point that is reinforced
with a Bible verse and an interactive video.
B!G Conference is open for all children who have completed
kindergarten through 6th grade.

FAQ

What ages can attend B!G Conference?

BIG Conference is for children entering Kindergarten - 6th grade this fall.


How much does it cost for my child to attend B!G Conference? 

B!G Conference is FREE for children to attend! This is our gift to the children in our community. 


What’s the difference between B!G Conference and a traditional VBS?


B!G Conference is strategically designed to empower and equip children right before they enter their mission field – SCHOOL! Worship & Bible Teaching are two of the main differences from a traditional VBS. We create a high energy, fun and upbeat worship experience for children. We teach the Bible through imaginative and engaging videos created by a team here at The Gathering Place Church. But, don’t worry! Like a traditional VBS your child will still get to participate in a relevant snack, craft and game each night.


When will my child receive their T-shirt?
 

T-Shirts will be given out on the last day of BIG Conference. Children will be encouraged to put it on over their other shirt before leaving for the night (in hopes that no one loses theirs).


I didn’t pre-register my child and the conference has already started, can I still bring my child?
 

Yes! Registration will be available from 5:00pm – 6:00pm each night prior to B!G Conference.


Can my child bring a friend?
 

YES! Any child who brings a friend that has never attended GPKids or The Gathering Place Church will receive a prize.


What do I do at Check-In’s when I arrive with my child? 
 

We will begin checking children in at 5:30pm EACH DAY in the foyer of  your campus. At 5:30pm, you may then take your child to the designated seating area for his/her group and meet your child’s group leader. It is not necessary to bring your online confirmation form with you.


What do I do when I arrive to pick up my child?
 

When you arrive to check your child in for the first time you will be given a car tag with your child’s name, please place this tag so that it is visible in your car’s front windshield. Car-Line will begin promptly at 8:30pm. Please do not leave your vehicle. If you have designated someone else to pick up your child, you need to fill out proper information during online registration.


Will dinner or snacks be provided for my child during B!G Conference?
 

Snacks will be served each day. Dinner will not be provided. If your child has a food allergy, please make sure to include this information during online registration and also notify the volunteer during check-in.


Will you be able to administer medication for my child during B!G Conference?


Thank you for understanding that we will not be able to administer any over the counter or prescription medications during B!G Conference, except in the case of an Epi Pen or a rescue inhaler because these are lifesaving medications.


Can I volunteer at B!G Conference?


Yes, the more help the better! All volunteers will be asked to complete a national criminal background check and complete TGP’s Safe Sanctuary training. If you are interested in serving please click the link at the top of the page that says, “SERVE”.
